If the pv system is connected to the meter then batteries are not required right? On cloudy or dark days, the electricity can come from the meter.

Crap, the title made me think they were going to talk about how sunlight was turned into electricity. Sunlight goes onto the panel and is converted into electricity isn’t 101, it’s bypassing any explanation.

Everybody is all for it. I hope the price can come down to 2.50 per watt, otherwise the rich will get “richer” and the poor get “poorer” in terms of energy costs. But it will all help, when anyone buys solar, there will be “grid power” available without brownouts.
