Where To Dispose Waste Power Steering Fluid And Waste Brake Fluid From Diy Car Maintenance?
I am living in Chicago area and I had some DIY maintenance work done myself for my car. I got some waste fluids that I do not know where to dispose. They are the bake fluid and the power steering fluid. But I do not know where to send it to since I am not supposed to dump in the drain or pour them in to a garbage can or just dump it outside house.

The city should have collection points for waste oil….phone book should have info or call an alderman’s office.

The power steering fluid can be disposed in the same place you take your oil. The brake fluid is a different matter, check with your local waste management co.

Try calling some repair facilities in your area and see if they take waste oil. If yes thwn bring it to them. If not local recycling facilities take waste oil. Oh yeah by the way these two things are classified as waste oils.
