It is a fact that these days, generating your own power, like Earth4Energy is advocating, is necessary. That’s because almost all commodities and consumer products are affected by the rise of prices in oil in the global market. Electricity, among others, uses gasoline and coal to produce itself.

That is why there is the need to create your own power using renewable sources. That is something Earth4Energy can help you with.

What is Earth4Energy?

Earth4Energy is a manual which guides you through the creation and building of independent power systems like solar power and windmills. It has been started by Michael Harvey, a person who has had extensive experience in producing renewable energy. With an experience encompassing over 15 years, Michael decided to take energy production to the next level by introducing it to people all over the world.

Under the program, members can download an informative manual which contains all the data you will need to build your own solar or windmill power systems. There are descriptive instructions as well as diagrams that you can refer to during the production of your renewable energy source.

Advantages of Creating Your Own Power

Here are some of the benefits and advantages that generating your own power has over relying on local power distributors to produce your energy for you.

· You get to save up on electricity expenses. You don’t have to rely on the local power distributor to produce your electricity. You get it at your own capacity. Earth4Energy let’s you explore the possibilities of independently having your own power system. In this way, you will no longer be bothered of those humungous monthly bills which will find its way at your doorstep.

· Since Earth4Energy taps renewable and natural resources to produce electrical energy, there is virtually an unlimited supply power at your fingertips. The sun itself has the capacity to go on for a million of years, and the wind is always there. Having a solar panel or a windmill at your home ensures you an uninterrupted power supply.

· If you are thinking of unlimited and uninterrupted energy supply, Earth4Energy shows you some of the ways to harness unlimited power resources at the lesser possibility of power outage except of course when you do your maintenance. This will make your home feeling safe from power interruption which might be common considering that prices of oil is on the rise.

· And lastly, Earth4Energy is environment-friendly compared to using fossil fuels to produce energy. For example, coal, which is one of the many fossil fuels used to produce electricity, releases huge amounts of carbon dioxide into the air. This causes a disruption in the natural balance of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, thus contributing to global warming. Research done by the World Nuclear Association show that the bulk of the greenhouse gases produced by the world comes from burning fossil fuels like gas, oil and coal. Since Earth4Energy’s totally “green” power systems rely on harnessing renewable resources, you produce little to no greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.

Generating your own power is beneficial not only to the individual but also to everyone. Since there is no greenhouse gas produced from tapping the potential of renewable energy resources, you are actually saving the world from the harmful effects of global warming in your own little way. When you use the renewable power systems promoted by the earth4energy, you are also helping to increase your neighborhood’s awareness of the need to stop relying on fossil fuels and instead turn their attention to using the environment-friendly renewable power sources.

Geothermal power has a lot of potential when it comes to alternative energy, and much should be done to produce geothermal energy technologies. It taps into the Earth’s natural energy sources and there is a vast amount of power to be found below the surface crust of the Earth, if we only learn to tap into and harness it for use as energy.

The Earth’s cores reaches a temperature that is 60 times greater than water when it is boiled. This heat is so tremendous in creating pressures just 2 miles below the Earth, so have energy in huge amounts. During a volcanic eruption we can witness superheated fluis as magma, a form which allows us to see the energy and power, just waiting for us to tap in. These fluids can also be seen as steam as it trickles to the surface via vents. By man made vents, we could contain the magma in chambers specially created so that it could be converted into electricity, for all our heating and lighting needs at home. Geothermal power plants are a good creation for where a good supply of this magma, or this heated fluid can be found. Pipes can be fitted down to the source, and the fluids then forced up to the surface to produce the steam which is needed. The steam would work a turbine to generate electricity.

There is a lot of criticism in tapping into the geothemal energy which prevents it being implemented on a much wider scale. It is much too expensive and time consuming to look into studying and researching a resourceful area, and then an even greater expense for building a geothermal power plant, where there is no guarantee of being able to make a profit. It is not known whether a site would be able to produce enough steam to make it viable or reliable enough to even think about building it. Environmentalists also worry about the possibilities of harmful substantials which could potentially be brought up too.

Geothermal energy does have a lot of wonderful benefits if only the critics were quashed and we went ahead and explored it more. As geothermal energy is one of the Earth’s natural resources, it remains a fact that it would not produce any pollutants, so what better way than to use it. It is energy efficient as the efforts required to set up a site to harness it is minimal, once a suitable location is found, and the plant has been built. Geothermal plants are also smaller than the larger atomic energy facilities, electrical plants and the giant dams, which means there would be less disruption to the environment. This alternative energy means would we rely less and continue to depend on coal and oil. Geothermal energy is endless so we would never run out of supplies. This commodity would not become increasingly expensive as time moves on as it is ever present. This type of energy would be so cheap once the initial costs of set up have been recouped.

Thermal-power plants which store heat intended for over cast days could possibly address many of the difficulties with storing solar energy.

Solar advocates like to brag that merely a couple of hundred square kilometers worth of photovoltaic solar panels placed in Southwestern deserts could possibly power the United States. Their particular strategies contain a warning, needless to say: with no backup energy plants or costly purchases in massive batteries, flywheels, or additional energy-storage systems, this solar power supply would likely vary significantly with each and every passing cloud (along with the daily rise and fall as well as seasonal ebbs and flows). Solar power startup company Ausra, located in Palo Alto, believes they have the answer: solar-thermal-power plants that will convert sunlight into steam and efficiently store heat for cloudy days.

“Fossil-fuel supporters normally point out that solar cannot get the job done, that solar cannot operate in the evening, solar cannot run the overall economy,” says David Mills, Ausra’s founder and chairman. “That is certainly accurate if you do not possess storage.” He admits that solar-thermal plants tend to be the most effective due to the fact storing heat is much simpler when compared with storing electrical energy. Mills estimates that, as a result of that benefit, solar-thermal plants suitable of holding sixteen hours worth of heat could possibly supply over 90 percent of existing U.S. energy requirement at rates competitively priced with fossil fuel as well as natural gas.

Major utilities are choosing the theory. In July, the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) agreed upon a 25-year deal together with Ausra rival Solel Solar Systems of Beit Shemesh, Israel, to purchase energy from a 553-megawatt solar-thermal plant which Solel will be building in California’s Mojave Desert. The plant can provide 400,000 homes throughout northern and central California as soon as it is completed in 2011. Florida Power & Light, in the meantime, hired Solel to upgrade the 1980s-era solar-thermal plants it manages in the Mojave.

Ausra, on the other hand, is discussing together with PG&E to provide electrical power via a 175-megawatt plant which it intends to construct in California, that it secured million in venture funding this month.

Everything that distinguishes Ausra’s design will be its general simplicity. In traditional solar-thermal plants such as Solel’s, a lengthy trough of parabolic mirrors concentrates sunlight on a pipe filled up with a heat-transfer liquid, usually some type of oil or brine. The liquid, subsequently, generates steam to drive a turbine and create electrical power. Ausra’s solar collectors utilize mass-produced and therefore inexpensive flat mirrors, and in addition they concentrate light onto pipes filled up with water, therefore directly generating steam. Ausra’s collectors generate a reduced amount of power, however that power is cheaper to generate.

One megawatt’s worth of Ausra’s solar collectors have been generating steam in New South Wales, Australia, ever since 2004; the steam is fed directly into the turbines of a mainly coal-fired power plant. The last part of the system–a proprietary heat-energy-storage system–should become ready by 2009.

Mills is not going to state precisely what materials his company’s system will probably heat, despite the fact that a number of the latest solar-thermal plants by Ausra competitors–including one in Nevada which launched this particular summer as well as two being built in Spain near Granada–plan to make use of molten-salt storage. Molten salts tend to be cost-effective salt solutions that will soak up significant energy after they melt and offer up that energy once they freeze.

Precisely what Mills can easily declare for sure is the fact that Ausra’s storage system will certainly reduce its power-generation expenses. This is the incredible statement because energy storage may cost perhaps up to twice the price of electricity coming from photovoltaics or wind turbines.

Heat storage is a lot more successful compared to electricity storage: merely two to seven percent of the actual energy is wasted any time heat is banked inside a storage system, in comparison with losses of at the very least fifteen percent whenever energy is stashed in a battery. A bigger factor, claims Mills, would be the fact storage makes it possible for thermal plants to work with more affordable turbines.

The end result is that Mills vows that increasing storage as well as cost savings because of economies of scale as well as reduced price of investment capital (simply because banks know more about solar-thermal technologies) will certainly reduce Ausra’s existing ten to eleven cents per kilowatt-hour expense of power by 50 percent. By 2010, he is expecting solar thermal to give California with standard power more affordable when compared with natural gas, at the moment established by the state at 9.2 cents per kilowatt-hour.

I got really interested in the whole concept of solar panels. I read a couple of articles and saw a few videos on how to convert solar energy to electricity, but what I want to know is how can I make the microwave work, only using solar panels?
What I mean, is how many Volts, Watts, Amperes or any of these do I need to make the microwaves fully functional and how many big the solar panels need to be to absord enought energy?
Thanks!
