or how many watts? i dont use much electricity. i have on a couple of lights and a computer, now and again the tv. how many solar panels would i need to power persons constantly throughout the day, and maybe charge batteries for night? the air, refrigerator and hot water heater i would still use fixed electricity.

I’m responsibility a project in Science Club and me and the other people in club are wondering about how we could convert solar energy into electrical energy on a system?

Hard homework problem I don’t know.
Above the Earth’s atmosphere, we receive about 1400 W=m2 of energy from the Sun. If you could convert 100
per cent of this energy into usable electricity, how large a collecting area of solar cells would be necessary to
yield a 1-gigawatt power sow?

I live in the basement of a house and want to run my room on solar power. I have two power strips that run a TV and DVD player, a laptop, printer and two external hard drives and I would need to use a couple floor lamps in the room as well. What kind of solar paneling complex would I need and what would be the ballpark cost on this?

Will I choke my fish if I use a DIY CO2 system? It will be two 2-liter bottles with the yeast/sugar combo for my 55 gallon tank. I will be upgrading my lighting very soon (either tomorrow or within the week) to 100 watts, right now it has stock lighting. I always read to turn off a CO2 system at night but how would I do that? Cinch the airtube at night so the co2 can’t escape?

i am looking to build a small solar generator to power a few lights and so forth, i have a deep cycle gel car battery, but what watt and volt solar panel would i need to charge it in an efficient amount of time? also, is it possible to hook up 2 small solar panels to one battery to charge it or would that not work? like would 2 5 watts be as excellent as a 10 watt?
thanks!
