I want to do a DIY project on my bedroom and I want it to have a very mystical/ whismical suspicion. I like butterflies, dragonflies, fairies and I like the play Midsummer Nights Marvel by Shakespeare and want to reckon of a way to incorparate that fairie theme if possible. I plot on painting and getting new bedding and everything but i’m having distress finding things to decorate with and bedding that will work into the theme so any help is greatly appreciated.

I made my own bedding by using a pink metallic bed skirt and a sheer fabric over the top with rose petals in it. I also hired an actor to paint fairies on the wall but I have since found a MUCH cheaper way to get fairies on the wall! Find a calender or book that has photos you like or photo copy them on a color printer and cut them out. Then scrape the bumps off the wall and decoupage them to the wall! I’ve done it with fairies, planes and skateboard stuff. It works AWESOME. I bought sheer butterflies from the dollar store and hung them from the ceiling along with some cute fairies I found. I also place netting over the bed and place some butterflies in the netting. The mystical feel can be obtained with plain bed linens and making pillows with shimmery fabrics. I have tons more thoughts and could even send some photos if you want. You can e-mail me ruggerio@sbcglobal.net

That sounds fabulous! Maybe you can make a tent with shimmery fabric around your bed as a center peice, paint the walls a deep dark blue and have stars and fairies on them. Twinkle lights on the cealing. And paint your furniture to match. That woudl be magical!
Remember, if you can’t find the right thing, search it! Check fabric stores online, they have a large selection. And if you can’t find a premade bed spread, it’s simple to DIY!
