I knew I’d heard something about researchers developing new solar cells which will triple the output efficiency of solar panels. When I go online to research this…NOTHING since the initial discovery at Berkely in 2002. Did some oil company gorge it up?

Howdy,
I’m not sure, this is the first I’ve heard of such a break through. Chances are it didn’t work out -or- if it was a truly viable product, an energy company “invested” in the project and then shut it down for one reason or another.

Did you know that the power companys yield over 45% of the problem and china is the world most terrible thay plot to open 16 new plants next year.
how much do you pay your power company 200-300 month you can now go solar for no cost to you no hardware to buy—- no permits to file—-no upkeep— and to will save 100 to 200 a month on your bill.
you also get a lock in rate for 25years how much has your bill goin up just last year?
by you going solar over the next 25yrs your foot print will copy 440,000 trees or removeing 45 cars this is a win win for everone!

Some of the answers and your reference to oil companies are silly. There are and have been for many years literally thousands of engineers and scientists all over the world working on surpass ways to get power from the sun.
Billions and billions have been spent by the government, utility companies, Universities, and private firms. hey have improved, but not anywhere near the levels you mention.
It has to do with physics and chemistry, not some obtuse plot. There are millions of investors out there that want to invest in efficient panels because they could get rich easily.
