Whats The Difference Between Diy Hair Dyes And Salon Hair Dyes?

I usually go to the hair salon to get my roots done but now i’m thinking of just using a DIY version because its cheaper. Are the hair salon coloring products surpass for your hair or am I just paying for the hair dressers time, when really I could do it myself at home for a part of the price?

About $60.
I used to color my own hair. No one ever questioned me what salon did it. I always told them “I did it myself!”
The quality of store bought and salon bought is the same. What you are paying for is the beauty school certificate of the beautician who’s wrapping your hair in rollers and dye.
Just follow the directions carefully.

DIY color is usually a coating of color on your hair.
Salon color is a more penetrating color, in other words it goes into your hair where the color naturally is located.
Yes you are paying for the stylists time, but you are also paying for their knowledge. Understanding color is a skill bought over a period of years of learning the different types of hair and color products.
Check out how many questions here are from ppl who have screwed up their hair trying to do it at home.
Now and again you get what you pay for.

Exactly why yesterday I was wrestling with a highlighting cap
My hair has reached the stage of pretty blonde, I achieved this by highlights and my hair is very long.
I thought why bother costs £75 in a salon when I could try it myself?
I brought JEROME RUSSEL HIGHLIGHTING KIT
I was very pleasantly bowled over!
I like it.
Not a major change, although I can’t go too much lighter, but I will definately use it again,
It helps you choose how long to place it on for and clarifies how to do a full head… highlights …or your roots.
This kit had the bleach powder and the bleaching cream, So far so excellent, my hair bowled over me

the consequences of diy can be disastrous! If your not experienced your hair can turn orange, you might end up having to go to a salon anyway. you can always do it at home but its really not worth it if you have the $ because your guaranteed the best job you can get at a salon.
